Secrets Exposed
Nikki goes to Diane with the truth about her baby instead of telling her supposed very good friend Jack first. What is up with that?
Can someone please explain to me why Nikki would go to confront Diane about what she found out about her baby and NOT go straight to Jack with this information? I just cannot figure that out! (more…)
Homeopathic Education Post 4
A second trend emerging in the development of homeopathic education is that homeopathy is starting to break out from the private colleges into the university sector. A number of US universities teach a little homeopathy now within their medical schools (see Chronicle of Higher Education 1996). Bastyr University has a strong homeopathic stream within its naturopathy courses. In Australia, several homeopathic subjects have been included within the new Bachelor of Naturopathy at Southern Cross University, a regional university in New South Wales. (more…)

The Rise in Standards in Homeopathic Schools
To take the case I know best, Australia, there has been a rise, in the requirements of the Australian Homeopathic Association, (the only national association) for accrediting courses. Whereas previously the Association required courses to contain a minimum of 340 hours of education in homeopathy and there were no requirements for supervised clinical experience, the number of homeopathy hours was raised a few years ago to 550 and a requirement for 100 hours of supervised clinical experience was added. John Edward III
Here is his story:
I went into labor with Johnny on a Friday nite. My husband, John, and I went to the hospital, but they sent us home. I had pretty strong contractions all day Saturday and probably should have gone to the hospital alot sooner than I did, but I’m pretty stubborn and was very nervous about the hospital setting. I hate needles so much! (more…)

There is another danger — we could end up with a schizoid course if we take conventional bio-sciences as they would be taught in a medical school, and simply splice them onto homeopathic materia medica and method. The mainstream bio-sciences have reached an advanced stage of knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology and other sciences which are predicated on a view of the body as a system of interacting organs and molecules. The Place of the Bio-sciences and Medical Skills
Where do the bio-sciences come in? Knowledge of the bio-sciences is of the first importance as underpinning knowledge. By joining our knowledge of the bio-sciences with a mastery of case-taking and examination of the patient, we deepen our understanding of the case. It is important to know what your patient is suffering, be it ebola (watch those body fluids!), cancer or whatever. (more…)
The Arthritis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a relatively uncommon ‘autoimmune’ disease. A wide variety of systemic changes can occur which is why SLE is often referred to as a protean disease. Children, adolescents, as well as adults can be affected.
Where Is the Line? Post 2
In my search for healing, I have had to learn not to blame myself for what happened when I was a child. I wasn’t responsible for another person’s actions. I didn’t make them hurt me. I didn’t deserve abuse. No one does. I had to learn that I don’t need to be ashamed of what was done to me. I’ve learned that I have no reason to feel guilty. I’m not the one who committed a wrong even though that is what I was told. (more…)
Where Is the Line? Post 1
Where is the line between justice and revenge? For those of us who are victims of abuse, there is a need to speak out. First (at least for myself), I have learned not to keep secrets about my past tucked away inside of me. They hurt me and that’s a bad thing. Second, sometimes by talking about what has happened to me and what I have learned, I am able to help someone else. That’s a good thing. (more…)
